The Gaia Tradition is committed to worshiping (that is, celebrating the worth-ship) of four levels of being: ourselves as individuals, our community, our mother the Earth, and the Divine.

Nearly all Pagan religions associate the four cardinal directions with the four elements of the classical world, as a way of establishing a relationship with the natural world. The most common layout, the one used by Gaia Wicca, is Earth to the north, Air to the east, Fire to the south, Water to the west, and Spirit at the center. We also share with most Traditions he association of the body with Earth, the mind with Air, the passions with Fire, and the emotions with Water. In accord with our understanding of the essential spirituality of love and sexuality, we associate those aspects of ourselves with the fifth sacred thing, Spirit.
We also associate the four worthies with the elements and directions; the diagram below shows how all these relationships work together:
