Sex is spiritual.
This simple, but obvious, truth has been hidden from us by our patriarchal society and by the "great man" religions that the society has engendered. It was, however, an integral part of many religions of the past. Its removal from our lives has done all of us great harm; to use Paul Tillich's words, its removal has alienated us - from ourselves, from our fellow people, and from the ground of our being.
The Gaia Tradition, in honor of our Pagan ancestors and in honor of our selves, holds spiritual sexuality as an integral part of its teachings. We believe that all of us have the right to a full sexual life, one in which our sexuality is integrated with our spirituality.
